The purpose of this grant is to facilitate the equitable distribution of funds among community-based organizations and agencies that support the goals and strategies outlined in the regional Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). Key objectives include:
- Strengthening the Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties progress in achieving the CHIP goals and strategies.
- Ensuring a cohesive and complementary approach to addressing public health priorities.
- Supporting data-driven, evidence-based strategies.
- Expanding the awareness and implementation of the CHIP across agencies and organizations in Linn, Benton, and Lincoln Counties.
This grant is offered in collaboration with the United Way of Linn, Benton & Lincoln Counties; Linn County Health Promotion; and the Partnership for Community Health.
Eligibility
Applicants are encouraged to align their proposals with key strategies from the CHIP that are best suited for this funding opportunity, including but not limited to: The following entities are eligible to apply:
- 501(c)(3) Nonprofit organizations
- Faith-based organizations, including churches
- Government entities, including municipalities and public health departments
- Organizations working in the Linn, Benton, and/or Lincoln County Regions

$200,000 total funding is available for
- $50,000 Capacity Building Grants: Designed to strengthen organizations by enhancing their infrastructure, workforce, partnerships or long-term sustainability
- $25,000 Programmatic grants: Supports specific projects, services, or initiatives that directly address community health priorities and provide measurable outcomes
Organizations may apply for funding to support work that takes place specifically in Linn County or spans the broader region. The proposed work must include activities or services within Linn County.
Work in Benton, Lincoln or Regional
$60,000 total funding is available for
- $15,000 programmatic grants: Supports specific projects, services, or initiatives that directly address community health priorities and provide measurable outcomes
Organizations may apply for funding to support work that occurs specifically in Lincoln County, Benton County, or across the broader region. The proposed work must include activities or services within either Lincoln or Benton County.
