Transcribed Text:  OREGON HEALTH AUTHORITY Public Health Division  Tobacco Prevention and Education Program: Empowering Communities to Drive Tobacco Prevention Efforts Program Report 2023–2025

The 2023-25 Tobacco Prevention and Education Program (TPEP) annual report shows gains have been made in lowering tobacco use over more than a quarter century, through ongoing initiatives aimed at promoting public health.

The Oregon TPEP supports statewide commercial tobacco prevention and quit programs. Commercial tobacco products include cigarettes, cigars, chewing tobacco and electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes). TPEP funds and collaborates with:

  • Local public health authorities (LPHAs)
  • Tribal partners
  • Community-based organizations
    (CBOs), and
  • Regional health equity coalitions (RHECs)
