Community Health Education Workshops

Resources from Samaritan Health Services

The Regional Health Education Hub provides centralized services that enable community members, health care professionals and partner organizations to easily access and refer patients to health education resources.

Community workshops are available for adults to help learn how to manage chronic conditions and prevent diseases. Workshops include:

  • Freedom from smoking
  • Walk With Ease
  • Prediabetes prevention
  • Chronic disease self-management programs

The Center for Health Education in Newport offers health-related activities including a community resource center, meeting rooms for support groups, and a teaching kitchen.

The Samaritan Cancer Resource Centers in Albany and Corvallis serve patients and caregivers with resources including:

  • Nutrition services
  • Wigs and head covering
  • Financial assistance
