Fair Housing Training Opportunities

Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS) and Fair Housing Council are partnering to offer a series of fair housing trainings. These webinars are free for anyone interested in learning more about fair housing issues statewide and how to prevent illegal housing discrimination in Oregon.

Spanish and ASL translation will be available at each training. Other accommodation requests can be made through the registration page.


2026 Training schedule

Fair Housing and Inclusive Communities

This training focuses on fostering inclusive communities by exploring the history of policies and practices and teaching strategies to promote equitable housing growth

  • Date: Tuesday, March 31
  • Time: 9:00 am – 11:00 am

Fair Housing in Long-Term Care Facilities

This session will review how Fair Housing law applies specifically to long-term care facilities. Topics include disability protected classes, reasonable accommodations, and screening and termination.

Fair Housing for Permanent Supportive and Transitional Housing Providers

This session will focus on considerations for permanent supportive and transitional housing providers. Topics will include disability, reasonable accommodation, assistance animals, and evaluation of accommodation and modification requests.

Fair Housing Hot Topics and Case Examples

This training will teach what housing providers can do to avoid discriminating, protections in place for housing consumers, and pertinent case examples.

This session will focus on fair housing update at the federal and state levels and continued enforcement efforts and protections
