Benton County Board of Commissioners Proclaims 2SLBGTQIA+ PRIDE month

The Benton County Board of Commissioners proclaimed June 2025 as 2SLGBTQIA+ Pride Month in Benton County at the June 10 meeting. Representatives from the Philomath Pride Collective read a proclamation honoring the Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and additional people who identify as part of sexual and gender diverse communities within the 2SLGBTQI+ community.

2SLGBTQIA+ Pride Month is important because it celebrates the diversity, resilience, and contributions of the community while raising awareness of the ongoing fight for equality and human rights. It fosters visibility, inclusion, and solidarity, helping to build more accepting and supportive societies.
