The federal government shutdown is affecting funding for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).
If the shutdown continues into November, SNAP benefits will not be issued in Oregon until federal funding resumes.
ODHS understands this creates uncertainty and stress for many Oregonians who rely on food assistance. They are monitoring the situation closely and will share updates as soon as they are available.
