Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA) funding opportunities

The Health Resource and Services Administration (HRSA) is an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, funds community health centers, supports workforce development, invests in maternal and child health programs, sustains HIV/AIDS care, and promotes rural and telehealth services.

Public, private, and nonprofit organizations can apply for most HRSA funding opportunities. This includes community and religious organizations. Visit www.hrsa.gov/grants for more information and current funding opportunities.

The Maternal and Child Health Bureau (MCHB) strengthens the public health system to meet the needs of mothers, children, and families.

The HIV/AIDS Bureau provides a comprehensive system of HIV primary medical care, medications, and essential support services for low-income people with HIV. The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program funds cities, counties, states, and local community-based organizations to provide HIV care, treatment, and essential services.

The Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP) coordinates activities related to rural health care within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

FORHP administers grant programs designed to build health care capacity at both the state and local levels. Through community-based programs, FORHP supports innovative programs that encourage network development among rural health care providers; places and trains the health care workforce in rural communities; and supports prevention, treatment, and recovery services for opioid and related substance use disorders.

Announcements from FORHP (July, 2026)

The Primary Care Dental Faculty Development Center Program (PCDFD) establishes a training center for the career development of junior primary care dental faculty, Doctors of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctors of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Dental Hygienists. This program is open to accredited schools of dentistry, public or nonprofit hospitals, or public or private nonprofit entity which the Secretary of Health and Human Services deems capable of carrying out this grant.

The PCDFD is accepting applications through July 8, 2026.
